User Guide

Getting Started

Welcome to the Targets App! This guide will help you understand how to set up and use the app for your business. The app allows you to manage multiple game lanes and run games simultaneously on different devices.

Setting Up Lanes

1

Access Admin Panel

After logging in, click the gear icon in the top right corner to access the admin panel. This requires admin privileges.

2

Create Lanes

In the admin panel, find the "Manage Lanes" section. Enter a name for your lane (e.g., "Lane 1") and click "Add Lane". Create as many lanes as you need for your business.

3

Select Active Lane

Use the dropdown menu to select which lane you want to set up or manage. Each device (iPad) should be set to a different lane.

Setting Up Games

1

Add Players

On the game setup screen, enter the names of the players. You can add more players by clicking the "Add Player" button, or remove players by clicking the "Remove" button next to their name.

2

Select Number of Rounds

Choose either 5 or 10 rounds for your game using the dropdown menu. This determines how many rounds each player will play.

3

Start the Game

Click the "Play" button to start the game. This will take you to the game screen where players can take turns.

Managing Multiple Lanes

Each lane can have its own game running simultaneously. This means you can have multiple games running on different devices (iPads) at the same time, all managed through your single account.

Tip: When setting up multiple devices, make sure each device is set to a different lane. Player names are saved for each lane, so you can switch between lanes without losing your setup.

Ending Games

To end a game, click the gear icon in the top right corner during a game and select "End Current Game". You will be asked to confirm this action. This will only end the game for the current lane and will not affect games running on other lanes.

Note: Only end your own game from the in-game interface. Do not delete lanes unless you want to permanently remove them from your setup.

Troubleshooting

Q: My game isn't saving player scores correctly.

A: Make sure you have a stable internet connection. If problems persist, try ending the game and starting a new one.

Q: I accidentally deleted a lane. Can I recover it?

A: No, lane deletion is permanent. You'll need to create a new lane with the same name.

Q: Can I transfer a game from one lane to another?

A: No, games are tied to specific lanes. You would need to end the current game and create a new one on the desired lane.
